You buy a 3CX license at the same size as your system. We sell it and we invoice it. It is a real cost and you should see it before you speak to a salesperson, not after.

§Which number sets your size
Your extensions set the license. Your calls set the monthly.
Each license size has a hard ceiling on extensions, so your extension count decides the license. The monthly is $30 per trunk, and you never need more trunks than the license size. How many you do need depends on how many calls your people make at the same time, and we work that out with you on the call, from how your system is used today.
Extensions set the license. A school wants an extension in 40 classrooms plus the front office, the nurse and the gym: 44 extensions. That does not fit under the smallest size’s 40 extension cap, so the license is the 16 size. With that many more extensions than calls, we can often run fewer than 16 trunks, which brings the monthly below $480.
Calls set the monthly. An office of 60 people, one extension each. 60 extensions fit the 16 size license, so the most the monthly can be is $480. If twelve of them are ever on the phone at once, that is twelve trunks: $360 a month.

§Schools
Schools buy on the same math.
There is no education discount on the 3CX license right now: 3CX has withdrawn its discounts. Schools and districts pay the same published license price and the same $30 per simultaneous call as everyone else.
Everything else on the education path is about how you buy rather than what it costs: classroom counts against extension caps, 911 location data, a summer cutover window, and a quote your business office can file.

Standard install is free. Custom work is $125 an hour, quoted first.
A standard remote install costs you nothing. That covers standing up the system, matching your SIP capacity, ordering or accepting your ports, provisioning the apps and the phones, building your hours, menus, queues and voicemail, setting up 911 location data, and training your staff.
Anything outside that is $125 an hour. Integrations, unusual routing, work on your network, on site visits. We scope it and tell you the number before we start. You will not find it on an invoice afterwards.

Is $30 a teaser rate?
No. It is the rate we honor for that size. It is on this page because we intend to be held to it.
What makes the bill go up?
More calls at the same time than your trunks carry, or enough new extensions to cross into the next license size. If a new extension pushes the license up a size, the whole license moves to the bigger price.
Why is the license separate?
Because it is a separate product with its own annual cost, and rolling it into a single monthly number is how vendors hide margin. You can see both lines and add them yourself.
Do we have to buy phones from you?
No. Bring what you have if it is supported, and we will provision it. Buy new through us if you would rather have one invoice.
Is there a contract?
Month to month.
What about uptime?
Our service level agreement guarantees 99.9 percent uptime every month, scheduled maintenance excluded, and backs it with credits on that month’s bill: 10 percent at 99.0 to 99.8, 20 percent at 98.0 to 98.9, and 50 percent below 98. You ask for the credit within 30 days. On top of that you get 24 hour emergency support and people who know your system. Read the SLA
