IndustryMulti-Location Retail

Your twelfth store does not need a twelfth phone bill.

Per seat pricing charges you for every phone in every location, whether anyone is on it or not. Our monthly bill follows how many calls happen at once across all of your stores, and your stores are almost never all on the phone at the same time.

§What usually starts this

Retailers do not change phone systems for fun. Something starts it.

Which one brought you here?

  • You are opening a store

And the phones already look like their own project: another system, another contract, another bill.

  • The bill grows with every location

Each store added more seats, and you pay for every phone whether it rings or not.

  • Calls ring out and nobody knows

A customer says nobody picked up, and you have no way to see which store missed the call.

  • Managers hand out their cell

Managers live on the floor, so staff and customers get personal mobile numbers that change every time somebody is promoted.

§One system

Twelve stores. Not twelve systems.

This is the part that surprises people, so here it is plainly.

You have one phone system and every store sits on it. The simultaneous calls are a shared pool, sized to how many conversations your whole company has at once, not to how many locations you have. Twelve stores with a phone each, where four calls are usually running at any moment, is a small system. Under per seat pricing it is twelve lines of billing for as long as you have them.

Opening a store. Stops being a phone project. It is an extension, a number and a handset that arrives set up.

Closing or moving one. The same, in reverse.

What still counts. The 3CX license has to carry every extension. If new stores push past its limit, the license moves up a tier and its price goes up.

§Each store

Shared system, separate identity.

Every location keeps its own number, the one on the door and in the listing, and it rings in that store.

Its own schedule. Each store has its own hours, holiday schedule, voicemail and after hours behavior.

Cover for each other. A store can answer for another when it is short staffed or closed. Calls can roll to the main line, to a manager’s mobile app, or to the next store over.

Head office. Keeps a main number separate from any store, so the district manager is not answering a question about returns.

§On the floor

Nobody in a store has a desk.

Managers are on the floor, in the stockroom, or at another location. The 3CX app on their mobile is their extension, with the business number showing, so a transfer to the manager finds them without anyone learning a mobile number that changes every time somebody is promoted.

The handsets. Cordless handsets, a phone at the counter, a phone in the back.

Bring your own. If your handsets are supported, we provision them.

Or buy through us. They show up set up and labeled for the store they belong to.

§Busy season

Your busy season is a traffic problem, not a headcount problem.

In November your call volume goes up. Your store count does not. Under per seat pricing you have been paying for every phone, every month, whether it rang or not.

We size the system for your real peak instead of per body. If your peak outgrows that size, it is a conversation about more simultaneous calls on a month to month service, not a renegotiated contract.

§The price

One bill for every store. It follows your calls, not your phones.

The monthly bill is $30 per simultaneous call, which is the same as $30 per SIP trunk, shared across every store. The 3CX license is annual, sold separately, and invoiced by us. It has to be big enough for your calls at once and for your extension count, so adding stores and phones can push it up a tier, and its price with it.

Stores have far more phones than people on calls at the same moment, so we can often run fewer trunks than the license size, which lowers the monthly bill. Tell us your stores, your people and your phones, and we work out the rest.

Run your own numbers

§Rolling out

We do the stores in a sequence, not all at once.

Your old system stays live until your numbers have landed. We do not take down a store’s phone during business hours to find out whether the handsets arrived.

Staged. We provision the handsets before they ship.

In your order. Stores cut over in a sequence you agree to.

One store first. Usually the one that will complain the loudest, so anything awkward shows up in one place instead of eleven.

The cost. Standard remote install is free. Custom work is $125 an hour, quoted before we start.

§When something breaks

What happens on a bad day, said plainly.

If a store loses internet or power. The phone system is not in your building, so it keeps running. Your staff keep working on their mobile phones with the 3CX app.

Our side. The hosted system runs at 99.9 percent uptime.

Who you get. A real person answers. If they can fix it on the call, they do. If not, they open a ticket and tell you what happens next. Tickets by phone, email or text. After hours, call (918) 608-8888 for 24 hour emergency support.

§Questions

What people ask before they call.

Do we need IT to run this?

No. We run it. If you want someone on your side to be able to change store hours, we will train them.

What if a store loses internet or power?

The phone system is not in your building, so it keeps running. Your staff keep working on their mobile phones with the 3CX app.

Can we see who is missing calls?

Yes. Call reporting shows each store’s calls, including the ones that rang out.

Can we add a store mid year?

Yes. It is an extension and a number on the same system, with no new contract. If the new extensions push past your license’s limit, the license moves up a tier and its price goes up.

Does 911 tell dispatch which store is calling?

Direct 911 dialing and dispatchable location are configured per store during the install, and we put what the system does in writing. To check it, dial 933 from a store phone. We suggest doing that once a quarter.

Are we locked in?

Month to month on our side, across all locations. The 3CX license is annual.

Tell us how many stores, how many people and how many phones.

And which numbers you need to keep. That is all we need to price it. Working out how many calls happen at once is our job, not yours.
